If you are planning to enjoy the fireworks from your boat or if you are planning a boat trip on the Fourth during the day, please remember that the US Coast Guard and the Marblehead Harbormaster have established a safety zone around the fireworks barge at the mouth of the harbor. All boaters are advised to use caution when transiting the area.
Marblehead Fireworks Committee announces details about the July 4th Fireworks
The Marblehead Fireworks Committee is pleased to announce the following details about the July 4th Fireworks and Harbor Illumination 2024:
Sunset on July 4th is at 8:25 PM. The Harbor Illumination is scheduled to start at 9:00 PM when flares are lit all around the perimeter of the harbor, creating a magnificent ring of light that sets the stage for the main event: at 9:15 PM the fireworks are launched off a barge at the mouth of Marblehead Harbor, which creates ideal viewing opportunities for the public from the parks at Fort Sewall, Chandler Hovey Park, and Crocker Park, as well as for boaters, yacht club members at the five clubs that are located around the harbor as well as several private residences all around the harbor and Marblehead Neck.
